Dressed to the nines and beaming with confidence, the Futuraskolan Class of 2026 absolutely took our breaths away. From the beautiful lakeside setting to a fantastic dinner and a dance floor that didn’t quit, it was the perfect way to celebrate all of their hard work, growth, and friendships. 💃🕺🥂

Get ready to be absolutely amazed! Futuraskolan’s 5th annual Global Citizenship Program (GCP) Nature Photography Contest has officially concluded, and we have shattered all previous records with over 600 incredible entries this year! Our young photographers truly outdid themselves, bringing unparalleled creativity, passion, and skill to capturing the breathtaking beauty and wonder of our planet.
Following our established tradition, winners were selected across three age categories and our three core themes:
* Biodiversity 🌿
* Humans and Nature 🌍
* Artistic Nature 🎨
We host this annual contest to honor Biodiversity Day, with the goal of inspiring a deep love for the environment and encouraging our community to explore and protect the natural world. With more entries than ever before, the judges had an incredibly tough time choosing the top spots!

🚨Exciting News! Futuraskolan Bergtorp Expands to Include Grades 4 & 5 Starting August 2027

🤩We are thrilled to announce that Futuraskolan International Bergtorp is expanding to welcome Grades 4 and 5 starting in August 2027! This exciting development marks an important step forward in our mission to offer a dynamic and enriching international education from an earlier age. Under the experienced leadership of Kevin Munro and his fantastic team, our new younger learners will benefit from the same commitment to curiosity, creativity, and global citizenship that defines the Futuraskolan experience.

☀️Our unique approach, guided by the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and supported by inspiring Enrichment Programs, helps students drive their own academic development in a supportive, international environment. As part of Sweden’s leading organization in Grade 9 merit points, our goal is to provide the best foundation for lifelong learning and future success — now beginning in Grade 4. Students in the new classes will also have access to our Creative Arts, Global Citizenship, and Sports & Wellness programs that make learning meaningful and personalized.

Small Actions, Big Impact: Sustainability in Action at Futuraskolan Rådan! 🌍💙

We are incredibly proud to share a glimpse into a wonderful project happening at Futuraskolan Rådan. Take a look at the video below to see how our amazing students have been taking charge of packing leftover school food to reduce waste!

This student-led initiative has been running since January, and the results are nothing short of fantastic. Thanks to the hard work of our learners and the support of our community, the school has raised over 7,000 SEK for our partner charity, Hands2Ocean! 🌊

This project perfectly embodies our commitment to global citizenship and sustainability—proving that when we work together, we can make a real difference.

🌎🤩🏆🏐 The Annual Futuraskolan Preschool Olympics 2026! ⚽️🏅✨💫

The sun was out, the banners were flying, and the energy was electric! We recently gathered at Östermalms IP for one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Futuraskolan Preschool Olympics.

It was a day defined by play, movement, laughter, and community as our six preschools—Kvarnskogen, Brunbärsvägen, Gåshaga, Näsby Park, Skarpäng, and Danderyd—came together for a spectacular day of movement.

The day kicked off with a vibrant Starting Ceremony. Each school unit paraded onto the field behind beautiful, hand-crafted banners created by our talented young learners. Our young learners parading happily, representing each of their preschool units, set a wonderful tone for the festivities.

Our little athletes put their skills to the test across a variety of stations designed to challenge their coordination and teamwork here are a few of the many various activities:

Field Events: From the precision of the shot put to reaching for the sky (as high as these little ones can go) in the high jump.
Soccer Skills: Putting their best foot forward to kick goals.
Tug-of-War : A true test of strength and “all-together-now” teamwork!
Mind & Body: After a busy morning and a well-deserved lunch, the children transitioned into a peaceful session of yoga and balance to refocus their energy.

We concluded the day with a festive Awards Ceremony. While there were plenty of cheers for the athletic feats, the real victory was the “festive mood” shared by our learners and teachers.

“It’s about more than just sports; it’s about showing our children their own potential and the joy of coming together as one big Futuraskolan family.”
