Information from the Huvudman – Leadership Appointment - Futuraskolan International Preschool Brunbärsvägen – 2026-2027

The leadership team of Futuraskolan AB is thrilled to announce that Fareeha Rizwan has graciously agreed to assume the position of Principal of Futuraskolan International Preschool Brunbärsvägen. This decision is effective August 31, 2026

Fareeha came to Futuraskolan with a strong pedagogical education and immediately began making her mark. Initially assigned the coordinator role for our Global Citizenship Program at Futuraskolan International Preschool Brahegatan, Fareeha soon earned the appointment of Vice Principal at Futuraskolan International Preschool Gåshaga in 2018. While entrusted with leading the pedagogical development and systematic quality processes for the preschool for one year Fareeha earned the trust and respect of the entire parent community. Based on the outstanding academic and wellness results her and her team achieved, Fareeha was appointed Principal of Futuraskolan International Preschool Gåshaga in 2019. Upon her appointment she was placed in the states Rektorsprogrammet, which she completed in 2021.

While serving as Principal of Futuraskolan International Preschool Gåshaga, Fareeha has been the driving force behind the development of our Erasmus Global Exchange Program and our Global Citizenship Program`s Greece Project. Every year Futuraskolan facilitates a service learning trip for 140 grade 9 students in the organization. This program was created, developed and administered by Fareeha and the Global Citizenship Coordinators across the organization and is a shining example of the pedagogical aspirations that drive the development of Futuraskolan AB.

Fareeha’s leadership has resulted in student and teacher development across the organization. We are thrilled that Fareeha has agreed to lend Futuraskolan her immense talents in an expanded leadership role.

Dressed to the nines and beaming with confidence, the Futuraskolan Class of 2026 absolutely took our breaths away. From the beautiful lakeside setting to a fantastic dinner and a dance floor that didn’t quit, it was the perfect way to celebrate all of their hard work, growth, and friendships. 💃🕺🥂

Capturing the Magic!

Get ready to be absolutely amazed! Futuraskolan’s 5th annual Global Citizenship Program (GCP) Nature Photography Contest has officially concluded, and we have shattered all previous records with over 600 incredible entries this year! Our young photographers truly outdid themselves, bringing unparalleled creativity, passion, and skill to capturing the breathtaking beauty and wonder of our planet.
Following our established tradition, winners were selected across three age categories and our three core themes:
* Biodiversity 🌿
* Humans and Nature 🌍
* Artistic Nature 🎨
We host this annual contest to honor Biodiversity Day, with the goal of inspiring a deep love for the environment and encouraging our community to explore and protect the natural world. With more entries than ever before, the judges had an incredibly tough time choosing the top spots!
